Description

Learn to handle operations and recovery aspects of a parallel sysplex, including isolation of sysplex failures and the IPL process.

Participants

All who are directly involved in the installation, operation, systems support and software support of a parallel sysplex.

Prerequisite(s)

Experience with operating
•    MV10GB.On completion, you will be able to:
•    Perform operational activities that are unique to a parallel sysplex
•    Describe the new and enhanced MVS/ESA commands that relate to parallel sysplex operations
•    Perform recovery actions to correct or isolate sysplex failures
•    Explain the operational implications of the IPL process, with particular reference to the parallel sysplex.
