IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus 7.3 Installation and Configuration
Description
This course teaches you how to perform a complete Netcool / OMNIbus V7.3 installation. The couse includes all of the steps required to: install the Core software components, configure an ObjectServer, install basic Probes, configure a bi-directional gateway to implement an ObjectServer high availability configuration, install and configure the Web GUI component and configure Process Control to implement the automated startup and management of OMNIbus components.
Objectives
• Determine pre-installation requirements
• Describe the new architecture and features
• Install OMNIbus, Probes, Gateways and the Web GUI
• Utilize Active Event List display
• Utilize new Event Dashboard layouts and parameters in the Web GUI
• Describe Load Balancing from a TIP and Web GUI perspective
• Confgure and demonstrate ObjectServer high availability
• Demonstrate the automated failover and fail back options of high availability
• Configure other new features
Participants
This is an intermediate level course for individuals responsible for installing and configuring Netcool/OMNIbus 7.3.

Students should have:
• Netcool/OMNIbus user experience.
