IBM FileNet P8 5.0 Installation

Description

This course is for those whose job duties include responsibility for the installation and support of IBM FileNet P8 software.

Students install a fully functioning IBM FileNet P8 system and practice the skills required to install the software. On the final day of class, the student is required to perform a successful installation of the IBM FileNet P8 platform software, without instructor assistance. A verification workflow is executed in the final stages of installation to validate the proper installation and configuration of all of the core components.

Objectives

Acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to complete a successful installation of the IBM FileNet P8 Content Engine, Process Engine, and Workplace XT and/or Application Engine.

Participants

This course is for technical professionals who are required to install the IBM FileNet P8 platform in a supported environment.

Prerequisite(s)

You should have:
•    Familiarity with IBM FileNet P8 Platform Administration recommended
•    Familiarity with IBM FileNet BPM Administration recommended
•    Understanding of the overall architecture of the FileNet P8 platform
•    Familiarity with Redhat Linux 5 server operating system recommended
•    Familiarity with basic Linux or UNIX operating system commands recommended
•    Familiarity with WebSphere Application Server (WAS), DB2, Tivoli Directory Services (TDS) (recommended)
