Description

The IBM Cognos TM1 Master Course is a 5 day Instructor-Led Training session. This course covers advanced TM1 techniques and practices, giving participants a series of in-depth methods and examples around the TM1 product which will support and guide developers who need to build high concurrency customer applications. This course is part of the customer education offerings for IBM Cognos TM1 9.5.1.

This course contains topics on TM1 Object Locking, TM1 Caching, Advanced Rules and Feeders, TM1 Server Configurations, TM1 Cube Dependencies, TM1 Backup and Deployment Strategies, and much more.

Participants

This course is intended for senior modelers with 18 months or more of IBM Cognos TM1 experience and direct engagement in at least 1 high concurrency TM1 customer application. Furthermore the course is directed at individuals, who must design, develop and implement complex TM1 models, paying special attention to performance, optimization, design practices and functionality. By meeting the prerequisites and attending the Master Course you will have achieved a Black Belt level of training.

Prerequisite(s)

Prerequisites for this course must be followed in order to meet the pace and participation level of the class:
•    Must have IBM Cognos Certifications in both, IBM Cognos TM1 Design and Develop Models (9.5) and IBM Cognos TM1 Analyze Data (9.5).
•    Should have a minimum of 18 months experience with TM1 and be in a senior role.
•    Should have direct design and implementation experience with at least 1 high concurrency TM1 customer application.
•    Should have intermediate knowledge of all TM1 components and architecture, paying special attention to performance, optimization, design practices and functionality with occasional assistance. This includes, but not limited to:
o    TM1 Locking of objects
o    TM1 Contributor
o    Feeders and Rules
•    Should have basic working knowledge of the IBM Cognos suite of products.
