Description

This course combines the content of the BladeCenter Fundamentals (XTR30) and content from the 3 follow on classes; XTR31 (BC-S), XTR32 (BC-E) and XTR33 (BC-H) into a single 3-day comprehensive BladeCenter class with a mix of presentations and hands-on labs.

This class provides an in-depth understanding of the design and technology behind the IBM's BladeCenter systems and components, with main focus on the blades and modules available for the different IBM BladeCenter Chassis. The course presents a detailed technical introduction to the different BladeCenter types (E, H and S) - This includes the different architectural features, management options and the Advanced Management Module's web-interface and functions, as well as troubleshooting and installation considerations. There is also a basic overview of the BladeCenterT and BladeCenterHT.

The course also discusses the capabilities and features of the IBM Director for the BladeCenter, including management and configuration options.

Participants

This is an comprehensive course for individuals with responsibility for technical marketing, product implementation, and technology exploitation of IBM BladeCenter solutions. Enrolment in this course is not restricted. However, typical students taking this course include IBM technical personnel and IBM Business Partner technical personnel involved with the planning, installation, configuration and upgrading of IBM BladeCenters.

Prerequisite(s)

It is recommended that you have some experience with Intel-based computer hardware and Windows or Linux operating systems.
