ENA 12.6: Switch Operation, Configuration & Management

The “ENA 12.6: Switch Operation, Configuration &
Management” training course provides Extreme
Networks customers with instructor-led lectures and
extensive hands-on laboratory exercises. This course
presents the concepts, skills and tools required to
deploy the Extreme Networks products in the most
common situations for Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks.
The course focuses on command line interface (CLI)
device management and provides hand-on
configuration using Extreme Networks management
tools such as ScreenPlay, CLI Proxy, Policy Manager
and Ridgeline 3.0.
This course also provides the requisite knowledge to
take the ENA certification test and is based on
ExtremeXOS 12.6.

This course is a 4 day course with an ENA exam day 5.

- Accessing and using the XOS CLI and legacy CLI
- Install and configure Extreme management tools
- Configure Layer 1 and Layer 2 networking features
- Create and use XOS and Ridgeline scripts
- Understand and verify XOS stacking
- Configure a network using Ethernet Automatic
Protection Switching (EAPS)
- Configure Layer 3 routing and OSPF
- Control and monitor user access using Network
Login and ID Management
- Describe and configure Universal Port
- Configure policy-based Quality of Service (QoS)
- Perform diagnostics and basic troubleshooting

Målgrupp

This course is designed for individuals responsible for
the configuration, management, maintenance, and
support of the Extreme Networks family of LAN
switches.

Förkunskaper

A working familiarity with LAN concepts, including
basic Ethernet and TCP/IP is required. These
prerequisites can be met by attending the “NIS-100/1
Networking, IP Routing & Security Concepts” training
class.
